Charles Lloyd is staying with RS at the time: probably RS provides him with material to use against STC in Lloyd's novel Edmund Oliver (see April 1798). STC is invited to Cote House, Westbury-on-Trym, near Bristol, home of Thomas and Josiah Wedgwood.

At this stage there seems to be no ill feeling between him and STC [but see April 1798]. 28 A Coleridge Chronology May 10 (Wed) STC has written 1500 lines of Osorio. He finds refuge from domesticity in Poole's 'book parlour'. 26 Encouraged by Poole and Cottle, STC writes a dedicatory poem for his new collection, T o the Rev.
